This is a wonderful MARX / LUMAR brand 1940s - 50s era pressed steel dump truck with lithographed color wheels. This great truck has a blue bed that lifts up by hand - it does not appear it was built to be raised any other way. There is great detail on this item, from the great metal headlights and front grill and hood ornamentation.... to the decals on both side show "LUMAR CONTRACTORS" with the MARX logo in the middle.
This truck measures 18-inches long and 8-inches long wid...e in the bed area. The nice feature on this are the metal lithographed wheels with the words "Louis Marx and Co., NY" The underside of the truck and cab has very little wear. The cab of the truck is in good shape with some wear but minimal. The inside of the blue truck bed has some surface rust spots but not overwhelming for its vintage. The red door on the back of the truck swings open freely.
