Original Description:
For Sale 77 Dodge Power Wagon/Military Version. Known as a M880. In civilian terms it is know as a W200. 3/4 ton. However, the military rated them at 1.25 ton. This surplus truck was used as a brush truck by a central Indiana Fire Department until about 10 years ago. There was a lightbar on it so there are some bolt holes in the roof (not all the way through).

The Good: The previous owner had the Transfer case rebuilt (about 50 miles ago), replaced the brakes and shocks and then let it sit for about 4 years. It was headed for the junkyard but I couldn't let that happen. Very little rust. Drivers side floor pan has been replaced. Minor rust issues mostly at the bottom of the doors otherwise a solid truck. It has a new battery and starter and a decent JVC stereo/cd player w/speaker boxes. Has siren, military black-out lights (have no idea how they work), a pintle hitch, and regular hitch.

The Bad: No AC, no power steering, no power windows, no power locks. Brake line leaking above the gas tank, fuel gauge and horn do not work (probably a grounding issue). The biggest issue is the front axle needs to be rebuilt. Water must have gotten into the axle through the axle vent and caused some rust to accumulate. The gears all looked fine. I cleaned it out the best I could but still make some strange noises (I am not a mechanic). I did not see any metal but I think the axle bearings needs replacement. Probably should not be driven very far. Not currently insured either. This is a good project and can be an amazing truck. Harder and harder to find.
