Original Description:
1977 Pace car replica 1 of 2401. Highly optioned car in driver quality shape. Still wearing the original paint, rust free and no signs of accidents. Options include power bench seat- works completely, power locks-work, power windows-work, cruise control-works, AM/FM- works, rear defogger-works, clock- intermittant, AC- works but only cool air, needs R12 charge, tilt wheel, delay wipers, and tinted glass. Paperwork included on the transmission service done about 10 years and 300 miles a...go. Shifts perfect with no issues. Carb was rebuilt about the same time and performs correctly, meaning choke sets on startup- comes off choke with a tap of the pedal- accelarates with no hesitation. Original 403 with nothing messed with under the aluminum hood. Tires are older in that they were replaced in 2007 but have about 500 miles on them, no cracks, flat spots, no wear and still have sidewall nubs on them. Firestone Indy 500 raised letter tires. Interior has no cracks, stains, rips, tears on either door panels, dash, , seats, rear shelf. Headliner is almost perfect with two small spots aft of the dome light assembly. Does not sag and is not pulling away at the sides. All plastic trim is in excellent shape. All the weatherstripping is soft and supple and original. Exterior has several small dents on the quarter panels that could be worked out with paintless dent repair. I believe I counted 9 dings. No dents on the hood, fenders, roof, trunk or doors. One very small chip in the windshield that does not affect visability. The driver side windshield trim has slight damage to the aluminum trim, looks like the wipers threw something against it. Probably not repairable but could be replaced with any B or C body car of this vintage. The car was ordered and delivered in IN and undercoated. If it was driven at all in the winter it was sparingly. Other than 40 plus year old surface rust on the underside, the car is RUST FREE. The car was equipped with air shocks but were replaced with standard shocks and the rear coils were replaced. No body roll or sags. Drives tight and stops in a straight line. The rear body fillers were replaced and obviously not painted. The fronts are issue free. The paint is very thin in places but will buff up better. It is still not going to be show no matter how much time you put into the paint but if you are looking for an unrestored car, this one will go against most any out there as a great example. The doors close exceptionally well without the usual 2-3 attempts on GM cars of this vintage. No slamming, just a firm push to latch. Kinda rare due to the weight, size and age of the car doors.  Absolutely available for inspections. I would be available to help load for transport including any international buyers as long as the buyer makes ALL arrangements and of course covers ALL costs from their end. Any questions message me here or at droldsmobilemuseum.com. If the car does not sell, contact me after the auction if interested. On Aug-14-19 at 18:31:36 PDT, seller added the following information:Apparently while ebay says this listing may be revised, it CANNOT, morons! The listing rules clearly state a reserve can be withdrawn from an auction if it is not less than 12 hours or if the bids do not exceed the reserve. Well duh idiots. The point to drop the reserve is to be willing to take less than what was hoped for ie the RESERVE. So the best advise I could get from ebay reps was to start the auction at the reserve price, therefore forgoing the extra fees I am stuck paying by using the system they themselves set up. Outstanding! Soooo, the reserve that is on the car is $5500 and while this is being posted well ahead of ebays arbitrary rules, all bidders will now know that with all the technology that a global company like ebay has to offer, they cant keep their own sh#t straight. Cheers!
