For your consideration: A somewhat taller slender art pottery by Saxbo Keramik of Denmark. Executed by Eva Stæhr Nielsen, one of the primary artists at Saxbo; finished with a beautiful "haresfur" type glaze in graduated shades of brown across the vase.
Signed: Incised Saxbo logo with E St N initials and style number on the bottom; in addition, part of the original sticker from the world famous Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen, where this was purchased.
It measures ab...out 7 1/4" (185mm) tall by 3 1/4" (83mm) in diameter.
Provenance: This piece has been in our personal collection of artifacts since my auntie's death in 1997; prior to that it was at my grandparents' house in Copenhagen, Denmark. The piece has been well cared for in a smoke free home; it is in perfect condition with no chips, scratches or other damage, vague darkening on the underside of the base typical of a piece sitting on a bookcase shelf for decades.
Dates to about the 1950's; the glaze is really beautiful and "soft, " as is typical of Saxbo work.
These somewhat larger pieces of Saxbo don't show up all that often; a similar vase sold here on eBay in June 2019, for UK £456.98 (auction number 264372305334) and I would estimate this to have a similar value, but I welcome any serious offers.

We are just individuals selling our stuff; not "dealers!" We are thinning out some of our rather extensive collection of home decor, original art, art books, catalogues, antiques, old stamp collections and other collectibles. The kids have left home and have expressed that they are "not interested" and we are basically "downsizing" and simplifying our lives. This is an ongoing process that will last many months (years?)... hope our treasures find good homes and enjoyment elsewhere; we have loved having them, but now they need new happy homes!
