Original Description:
Have been unable to find comparable tin candle holder made in Germany. The "DRP" registration (not patent) mark identifies the piece as German. There were many tinsmiths that made metal candle holders but few had the registration applied for making multiple pieces. The design appears to be one that the candle rising heat would actually make it turn casting shadows in a darkened room. Did not try to make it work and not sure what size is needed. Questions welcome.
