Description/Interesting Notes: An amazing example of this prized rare gem species from California!!! This specimen hosts an incredible display of razor-sharp, gem clear crystals of benitoite in association with scattered crystals of neptunite on a character...istic crossite matrix!!! The benitoite crystls exhibit gorgeou blue color with unusually gemmy clarity, sharp faces, and glassy luster!!! The crystals range in size to nearly .9cm!!! The crystals also exhibit intense blue fluorescence under SW UV (interestingly some crystals also show minor pinkish fluorescence at their cores with LW UV)!!! This specimen is from the collection of noted gemmologist Dr. Kurt Nassua!!! Very impressive in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
