This fine antique 1870s classic VICTORIAN BLACK WOOD CARPET PLATFORM ROCKER IS A FABULOUS PERIOD PIECE! It does have wear, scratches and can be repainted if desired but has nice patina! Has carpet but needs thorough cleaning and/or replacement as worn, some stains, etc. Can be restored. Painted black. Very well made back in the day. Perfect as accent piece, period piece for antique/historic home or? It's a fantastic platform rocker! Measurement: 39 3/4" high; 25 1.2: base wudtgl ...16: seat height space between the arms 18". Great design and function!. Made by an accomplished chair maker of that era. Shabby chic - does have scratches and marks from past use - which adds character or can easily be refinished if desired. I am selling this as a local pickup only in Highland Park, Illinois 60035 due to weight and size.This was grandpa's favorite chair which can fit any décor. A treasure! I am currently liquidating a three generation estate of interesting vintage and antique items. Will make a fine addition to any décor. Easy to transport - but is LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.
