Up for bid is this nice lot of rare benitoite crystals. Only the gem mine in California produced such beautiful and rare mineral species of this size. There is a total of 8 pieces with a combined weight of 1.25 carat. These pieces individually measure from approximately 3 mm to 4 mm across. This lot consists of almost complete crystals in their natural form, with heavy cr...ossite inclusions. This material is excellent for the mineral collection or for jewelry inlay use. First picture shows the benitoite crystals under short wave ultraviolet light, benitoite is fluorescent and glows a beautiful neon blue under such light. Good luck and happy bidding!
