EXCEPTIONAL PRESIDENTIAL RARITY !!!1864 Campaign Pin/Badge with a Beautiful GEM Portrait of President Lincoln Encased in the Original ( 1.0 X 3/4) Ornate Brass Matting. There is No Date on the Reverse of the Union Badge. The Brass Hilt features the UNION EAGLE, ARROWS, CANNON & TALONS. This is NOT the 1886 G.A.R. Badge which were modeled after the Union Patriotic Eagles Pin...) The Rare Presidential Campaign Pin measures ( 3.0 X 1.5) The GEM PORTRAIT Measures ( 1.0 X 3/4) and has S...UPERB EYE APPEAL. Though the US FLAG BUNTING is Damaged, it still has Bold Colors and the Patriotic Stars are Visible. The Pin Back Clasps Tightly and is Damage Free. The Campaign Flag Ribbon was Affixed to the Reverse Brass Matting. This Beautifully Detailed Image of the President is Cataloged by the OSTENDORF/HAMILTON Guide Book as ( O-92) by Anthony Berger of the BRADY GALLERY from a February 1864 Sitting. The Lincoln Image is Undamaged. The BRASS GEM FRAME has Minor Age Soiling and a "Flat Spot" just above the Presidential Portrait. This Does Not Affect the Desirability & Historical Importance of this 1864 Campaign Badge. The Presidential Image is on CDV Card Stock ( Not a Ferrotype or GEM TINTYPE...) & Is Easily Removed from the Original CDV "Hanging a Frame" Mount used to Protect this Beautiful 1864 Campaign Rarity after the Election. The Cardstock is Heavi Soiled with Hand Colored Tassels. The Corners were trimmed for Placement in a Victorian Photo Album.  The EYE APPEAL is EXCEPTIONAL.SHIPPING INCLUDES TRACKING AND INSURANCE.
