The silver mounted screw collar has the lion hallmark and the removeable screw top has full hallmarks that comprise the makers mark 'JD&S' for James Dixon & Sons Ltd, the crown for Sheffield, the lion denoting sterling silver, and the date letter 'h' for 1925.
The flask measures 7.6 cms tall, with the top screwed on, and 4.4 cms wide.
The hip flask is in super condition. There are minor imperfections to the snakeskin covering with some discoloration, but it is completely intact. The top/collar again have surface scratches but no dents/dings. The top screws on nice and tightly.
The glass is free from damage.
A very interesting, unusual and scarce piece of English silver.
