Moldavite is a tektite that is found only inCzechoslovakia. A tektite is actuallymolten sand that results during a meteor impact. Moldavite is one of the rarest varieties oftektite and was formed 15 million years ago. It is a beautiful translucent green. This nice big piece is approximately 7/8 inch long x 3/4 inches wide x 5/16 inches thick and it weighs approximately 6 grams.
