Excellent quality genuine 116 year old watch, in perfect working order, with a fine English brass movement by "M Hill" and is stamped "Trimdon Colliery". It is housed in a heavy sterling silver case with a white enamel dial is complete with its protective glass cover. It also has its removable inner brass dust cover. It is a strong runner and a pretty good timekeeper. The silver watch chain has graduating links and attached is an antique brass watch key. The chain weighs a heavy approx 46 grams. A lovely set.Measurements Great size, the watch measures approx 2.1 inches (53mm) in diameter, excluding stem, and is 0.8 (22mm) deep. The silver watch chain measures 13.25 inches (336mm) in length with a further 1.25 inches on the fob chain.Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver, with full English silver hallmarks for Chester 1903 (date letter "C"). Excellent clear struck marks, stamped in 4 separate places. The Albert chain has lion passant silver marks on all of the links and is hallmarked Birmingham 1890, (date letter "q") on the t-bar. The swivel is hallmarked Chester 1910, (date letter "K").Maker Silversmiths initials "T.P.H", (The Lancashire Watch Co Ltd - 1892 -1904), on the watch case. The watch movement is stamped "M Hill" "Trimdon Colliery" "No 692622". The watch chain is stamped "A.S" (Albert Sydenham).Condition Lovely condition, The watch is in good working order and a strong runner. The heavy silver case has no splits or repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, the enamel dial is definitely the original, with no chips, has a couple of very faint hairlines, really nothing much at all. The original protective glass has no cracks. The heavy antique silver albert chain is also in lovely condition and the silver swivel catch works perfectly and has a strong spring. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.
