A truly exceptional and rare watch. This solid 18k gold watch is a half quarter repeater with a sub seconds at 3.The key wound movement is missing its Duplex balance and balance cock, so it will need one to work correctly.The repeater function is started by pressing the stem / chain ring and allows the gongs to function perfectly.
The watch is als...o missing the correct hands.The sub seconds feature is located at 3, appearing to make it a very, very rare model. (Pinion is in place)
The signed dial is very clean and near perfect. Signed Parkinson & Frodsham, London. Sunken sub seconds at 3.The key wound movement is signed Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, London. Serial No 2806, as is the cuvee to the gold case.
The gongs work really well, with no fouling.18k gold engine turned case is hallmarked for London 1840.Size 46mm diameter x 15mm deep.Overall weight is 76.6 grams.There is 35 grams of 18k gold when the movement and crystal etc removed.
The watch is to be sold as is for completion, with no reserve. The watch appears to be all complete, apart from the balance & balance cock and hands, but please study the pictures to satisfy yourself. No part refunds if a small part is missing.
