DUNHILL 92 & 70 BRUYERE23352 RS [750] We offer here a tidy and properly preserved companion case. Dunhill fit it with two silver-mounted army-stem billiards cut some time after 1912 (the date of submission of the patent number on each pipe) and prior to 1921 (when they introduced a date code, which these pipes lack)– the earliest years when Alfred Dunhill's tobacco shop on London's Duke Street had not yet expanded to the Paris and New York markets. Both pipes in thi...s fitted case have survived more than a century in entirely original and virtually faultless condition. Chambers: clean and uncharred; rims: clean & crisp; briar: minor tiny dings only; silver: very clean; military-mount stems: immaculate and inset with original White Spots.
Every estate pipe we sell has been delicately reconditioned to bring it close to what it was like when new. Pipes described as unsmoked have been inspected and polished. Each pre-smoked pipe we offer, unless we state otherwise in the description above, has no condition issues and an original mouthpiece that is clean, polished, and free of tooth marks. The tobacco chamber has been reamed and polished so you may inspect the condition of the briar wall. The pipe you buy from us will arrive ready to smoke.
