This is a HUGE fossil shark tooth. It is a massive Carcharocles megalodon matrix tooth from Chile. This specimen was acquired in a major fossil collection probably 20 years ago. This extremely impressive tooth is 5.65 inches long and 4.35 inches wide - si...mply a monster shark tooth! The beautiful yellow-orange coloration is fully natural and quite striking. The full serrations are easily seen and razor-sharp - it is extremely rare for a matrix tooth this large to have such nice serrations! The very tip is also present and wonderfully pointed. The colorful enamel is very thick and robust incredibly intact. And the back side of the tooth is still encased in solid rock - what a display!
