Very Rare Locality SMITHSONITE With BARYTE - - Pinargozu Mine, Kozan, Turkey
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:4588118 |
The Pinargozu mine is not yet listed on mindat.org--the world's most comprehensive mineralogical website. I... will add a photo of this piece and will add the locality to the database in the next day or two. The Pinargozu mine is an active zinc mine with minor lead and silver mineralization. An excellent overview of the mine can be found by a Google search for "Pinargozu zinc mine" that will lead you to the Pasinex Resources Ltd corporate site with much information about this mine and their other projects.
The specimen shows a small depression in the rock covered with satiny botryoidal smithsonite. This lay atop coarse white baryte cleavages. This should be considered a very rare locality specimen and would make an excellent addition to any worldwide smithsonite suite!
Please check my feedback and my other items. All specimens are carefully wrapped, come with complete and accurate labels and are quickly shipped. As always, your complete satisfaction is unconditionally guaranteed and I even offer FREE return shipping on any item that fails to satisfy for any reason---you can't go wrong. I'm reminded of the firm pledge printed on the old Foote Mineral Company mineral catalogs from more than a century ago,
"Quality of specimens is assured as we permit return of specimens at our expense."
Thanks for looking!
