Rare Locality CANFIELDITE, GALENA, STANNITE - - Dean Mine, Battle Mountain, Nevada
Item History & Price

I've visited Bart several times and always come home with very many oddball specimens and unique ore specimens. I picked up a few of the richest examples of this mate...rial that he had left. The specimen shows galena cleavages intergrown with canfieldite and stannite in quartz. Bart has the equipment to do in house analysis and I had never had such specimens so picked out a few to offer online and at shows. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit to Seattle---will probably have to wait until next year!
Canfieldite is a silver tin sulfide mineral and is present as the massive steel grey material (not to be confused with the galena cleavages) and the stannite may have been identified in thin section, etc.
Please check my feedback and my other items. All specimens are carefully wrapped, come with complete and accurate labels and are quickly shipped. As always, your complete satisfaction is unconditionally guaranteed and I even offer FREE return shipping on any item that fails to satisfy for any reason---you can't go wrong. I'm reminded of the firm pledge printed on the old Foote Mineral Company mineral catalogs from more than a century ago,
"Quality of specimens is assured as we permit return of specimens at our expense."
Thanks for looking!
