MEASUREMENTS: 17cm (6.7") high; approx. 14cm (5.5") wide (incl. handle); 600 ml (1 pint) capacity; 536 grams (17.25 troy ounces) weight. MARKS: Full set of English hallmarks (guaranteeing Sterling 925 standard silver) for London 1796 by Richard Evans of Shrewsbury. Richard Evans was a major provincial retailer who bought in goods from London and overstruck the original maker's marks with his own. Interestingly, it can be seen under his RE mark on the main body that this tankard was in fact made by the important Bateman workshop (maker's mark PB/AB for Peter & Ann Bateman). CONDITION: Excellent. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions. Good luck, Gary. We offer a full money back guarantee, if you are not happy with the item, within fourteen days of receipt. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ABOUT US: If you would like to learn more about antique silver then please visit our two specialist sites.
