You won’t find another one like this!!Made for presidents, diplomats, and dignitaries, this Wonderful antique Civil War to Victorian era Hearse carriage light made by the premier carriage and later automobile maker James Cunningham & Son of Rochester NY. This lantern measures 45” and is just huge! It has original old beveled glass and open back panel to light the lamp. This sconce has since been electrified but needs a new cord. It has a huge presidential Eagle Topper and was u...sed in their top of the line hearses. The firm began in 1842. I believe this lamp dates from just after the Civil war. Most likely 1860-1880. The end is slightly smashed and the top comes off of the lantern. It is marked inside. See pictures. Make offer!
