Industrial Chic MEK ELEK 2 Arm Angle - Poise Lamp Restored And Re Wired.

This rare early 1940’s cast iron MEK ELEK lamp has been sympatheticly restored back to its former glory.
The lamp has been stripped down and all debris, paint splatters and general detritus removed. Early MEK ELEK lamps used brass spring retaining plates so I have cleaned and polished these as a contrast to the dark green finish of the piece.
As well as the articulating arms, the lamp head rotates and I have restored the base so it also rotates properly. The switched lamp ho...lder is the original made by Crabtree and restored by me to near factory condition. Again I’ve used gold braided wire, which looks brilliant on this piece.The lamp has been mounted on a very lightly worked piece of oak. It’s now ready to go as a large table or desk lamp.
Each part of this piece has been extensively cleaned and polished but much care has been taken not to ruin history of the lamp. As with my other items, you are buying a piece of engineering history, so there is plenty of age related patina.
