VERY RARE, VERY OLD ANTIQUE TIN MONKEY DRUMMER WIND-UP TOY, MANUFACTURED BY DISTLER TOYS IN GERMANY.This drummer monkey has some minor wear from years of normal use. There is some very light paint loss. However, it is in remarkable condition for its age. Colors are vibrant and, details are sharp. All parts and pieces are intact. There seems to be nothing missing or, broken. The windup works properly. This is truly a very rare find. I have searched the market thoroughly and, I...'ve found only one other example of this toy. It was used with some paint damage and, missing the tail. Also, a few dents and scuffs. I was able to find no other examples of this quality and condition. The monkey is approximately 8" tall. The base is approx. 2 3/4" x 23/4". There is a stamp on the base that I believe states "Made in Germany". It's very difficult to read (see photos for more details). Bottom line....if you are a collector, you will want this one for your collection!This will ship from "56315". Although shipping is more costly, I am charging for the large USPS Priority flat-rate box which will allow for additional packing material to insure a safe arrival.
