Up for auction is a beautiful set of three mid-century modern Royal Copenhagen Fajance "Baca" bowls designed by Ellen Malmer and made in Denmark circa 1969-1974. Hard to find, these three lovely ceramic nesting bowls are from the "Baca" series and feature textured abstract geometric designs around the exterior with a yellow interior, each is unique. They are hallmarked ROYAL COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, FAJANCE, three wavy lines and the Ellen Malmer cypher in a circle along with decorato...r's initials and style and form numbers (658/3472, 658/3473 and 658/3474). The dimensions of the large bowl are approximately 2 5/8" tall by 5 1/4" in diameter, the medium bowl is 2 1/4" tall by 4 3/8" diameter and the smallest bowl is 1 3/4" tall by 3 1/4" in diameter. This set of three Danish Art Pottery bowls is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks and very little surface marks or wear from use and age. There is a slight discoloration on the interior bottom of the medium bowl, a small stray glaze spot on the interior of the large bowl and a tiny glaze skip on the rim of the smaller bowl (please see all photos and ask any questions before bidding).
