Antique lighted Chinese hanging lantern wall sconce and its wall hanger...2 pieces. Beautiful wooden fretwork and reverse painted glass. Included with the lantern is the attached arm that allows you to hang it on a wall - and the lantern hangs from this projected arm. This beauty was removed (as I watched) from the wall of an old Spanish style 1920s-40s home in Glendale, California...it was hanging on the side of t...he fireplace. The lantern measures approx 15 1/2" wide, 16 1/2" high. The arm is 16 1/2" long, and so when the lantern is hung from the arm, they will project a further 9" from the wall. This delicate Chinese lantern was fitted with electricity. Possibly dating to the late 19th or early 20th century....I am not sure. It has a porcelain socket and takes a single standard bulb. Gorgeous with the lights on.All you need to do is have this wired into your location. Sold as is.Condition:Good antique condition. Age-related wear. The glass is intact. I did note wear to the paint in a few spots. I gently cleaned the outside of the glass panes. Please please please do not scrub the inner panes of the glass....that is the painted side and you could easily damage the paint. The metal part of the swing arm is tarnished. Lots of dust, this fixture needs cleaning. ___________________________
